east of Andrews, NC, the romantic three-bedroom log cabin sits at a
cooling 3,100 foot elevation high above the Nantahala, a wild mountain
river known for its world-class whitewater activities and trout fishing.
Highway 19/74 winds through the
Nantahala Gorge offering scenic views of the
river, the rafters and kayakers, and the massive sheer rock faces of
the surrounding cliffs. Just
a mile west of the whitewater rafting launch site, you'll turn off the
two-lane 
highway and begin your drive up the mountain to Stag Crossing,
where your Smoky Mountain getaway truly begins.
Whether you enjoy watching the mountains by day or the stars at night, you will be amazed by the sunset view from the wide porch that runs the length of the front of the cabin and deck that runs the length of the north side. The red rockers and the 6-person hot tub are perfect spots to socialize and enjoy the 180 degree panorama of the mountains pictured above.
